Chiefs-Eagles TV ratings are big: Highest-rated Thursday night NFL Network game ever

It seems like everyone tuned in to see Big Red play his former team in the Chiefs-Eagles Thursday Night Football game on NFL Network.
A lot of people wanted to see Andy Reid return to Philly on Thursday night. According to a release from the NFL, last night's Chiefs- Eagles game was the highest rated Thursday Night Football game on NFL Network ever.
The Chiefs happened to be the very first game on NFL Network in that Thanksgiving classic against Denver in 2006. (A game the Chiefs won by the way.)
There were 9.4 million viewers, according to the NFL's release.

Chiefs-Eagles edged out a 2009 game between the Cowboys and Saints as the highest-rated.
Chiefs-Eagles was the fourth-most viewed (not rated) game on NFL Network behind 49ers- Ravens in 2011, Cowboys-Saints in 2009, and Packers-Cowboys in 2007.
The ratings were 34 percent higher than last year's Week 3 Thursday night game ( Giants- Panthers)
Chiefs-Eagles was Thursday's most-watched program among all shows on broadcast and cable television, edging out NBC's The Million Second and Fox's The X-Factor.
